.SH DESCRIPTION
firedns_gettxtlist() creates and sends a request to resolve a TXT record for
.IR name .
It returns a file descriptor that
should be
.IR select (2)'ed
upon (read set).  When the file descriptor shows ready
for reading, call
.IR firedns_getresult (3)
to retrieve the results.
.SH RETURN VALUE
Returns an integer file descriptor that can be used the
same as any other file descriptor.  Returns
.I -1
on error.
