1# GNOME Mahjongg 2 3Mahjongg is a solitaire (one player) version of the classic Eastern tile 4game, Mahjongg. The objective is to select pairs of similar tiles. 5 6Mahjongg's origins are not fully known, but many theories have been put forth. 7One such theory says that Noah played Mahjongg on the ark because the East hand 8is dominant, presumably the direction the rains came, in the flood. Another 9theory says that the Chinese philosopher, Confucius, made the game. 10 11 12## Useful links 13 14- Homepage: <https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Mahjongg> 15- User manual: <https://help.gnome.org/users/gnome-mahjongg/stable/> 16- Report issues: <https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-mahjongg/issues/> 17- Donate: <https://www.gnome.org/friends/> 18- Translate: <https://wiki.gnome.org/TranslationProject> 19 20## Resources 21 22- The Mahjongg Map Tool makes it easy to generate new layouts for GNOME Mahjongg. 23 - <https://github.com/logicplace/mggmap> 24- Sources for the Smooth tile set are available on GitHub: 25 - <https://github.com/jimevins/smooth-tileset> 26
