Instructions for Installation of NeXT Icons for use with XEmacs:

I have only tested this with XEmacs 19.14.  Use this hack at your own risk.

If you use AUCTeX and the TeX toolbar, copy the files in the
tex-toolbar-icons/ directory into your TeX toolbar directory.  For me, this
is /usr/local/lib/xemacs/site-lisp/tex-toolbar.  This will replace the
icons for the TeX toolbar.

To replace the standard XEmacs toolbar icons, copy the files in the
xemacs-icons/ directory into your XEmacs toolbar icon directory.  For me, this
is /usr/local/lib/xemacs-19.14/etc/toolbar/.

In XEmacs, go under the Options/Toolbar Appearance menu and make sure that
both "Visible" and "Captioned" are selected.  Your icons should be replaced.

For an added bonus, recompile XEmacs with the option of using Athena
Scrollbars.  If you use libneXtaw by Alfredo Kojima (kojima@inf.ufrgs.br)
as an libXaw replacement, XEmacs will have nice looking scrollbars.  To do
this, read the docs or do a "./configure --help" and look for scrollbar
options.

A word about colors:  these icons use tons of colors.  Some of them, for
example, use more than 200 colors.  I've only tested this in true-color and
in 16-bit color.  I wouldn't recommend using these icons in 8-bit mode.
