X11 does a miserable job of providing resolution-independent drawing 58! facilities---it expects everything to be done in pixels. So if you 59! happen to run your X server at a resolution of 100 pixels per inch 60! (or some other strange value) instead of the widely used default of 61! 75, x11-ssh-askpass looks might tiny. [Sigh]. 62! 63! To get around this, umm, limitation, we declare the resolution that 64! the spacing and width/height pixels values are "valid" for, along 65! with a fuzz factor. If the current actual resolution is outside of 66! the range of <DEFAULT - FUZZ>..<DEFAULT + FUZZ>, then we scale pixel 67! measurements to fit the actual resolution. 68! 69! (And if you think *this* is a horrid hack, then take a look at the 70! actual code, which has to deal with conversion to [cheesy fanfare] 71! that's right---millimeters!!! The right hand managed to slip that 72! one in while the left hand was adding a '-dpi' switch to the sample 73! server implementation. I think both left feet were adding the 74! RESOLUTION_X and RESOLUTION_Y fields [in dots per inch, naturally] 75! to the X Logical Font Description. The irony is underwhelming.) 76 77*defaultXResolution: 75/in 78*defaultYResolution: 75/in 79*xResolutionFuzz: 20/in 80*yResolutionFuzz: 20/in 81 82!
