README

1
2This directory contains some sample files and the whatsnew file.
3
4It is strongly suggested that you read the full documentation of MsgEd TE.
5To do so, change to the "manual" subdirectory. There, type
6
7 make info
8 info -f msged.info
9
10in order to read the full documentation.
11
12The full documentation also contains DETAILED installation and compilation instructions.
13Please, really, do it like this!

1
2 Build MsgEd 6.3 from source code.
3
4There are two kinds of Makefiles: One for use with other software of the
5husky project (Makefile) and one for standalone-compiling of MsgEd TE
6(makefile.*).
7
8To build MsgEd 6.3 with Husky you should using husky libraries following
9versions: smapi 2.5-current and (possible) fidoconfig 1.9-current.
10To use the Husky-Makefile, you have to create a Makefile-Config (huskymak.cfg)
11in the directory above the MsgEd sources.
12A sample and some notes on the new Makefile (README.Makefiles) are included
13in the husky-common package which can be found on
14"http://husky.sourceforge.net/".
