This license does not cover products other than those mentione 7d in section 1. 81 9 10Definitions 11 12This agreement defines the licensing terms for the software product called 13PDFlib Lite 7.0.5. This product will be referred to as "the program" in this agreement. 14 15The program is a copyrighted work whose copyright is held by the licensor. 16 17The program is delivered with a digital manual which describes its programming 18features and their usage ("the documentation"). 19 20"Programming samples" shall mean the sample code which demonstrates use of the 21program, and which is part of the distribution. 22 23"Original distribution" shall mean the set of all files comprising the source code 24package for the program as made available by licensor. 25 26The term "integrated product" shall be used in this agreement to designate any 27product that is made up of both the program and software or hardware developed or 28marketed by any other individual or organization. Integrated product shall mean 29all components which are required to make reasonable use of the aggregate software, 30even if such components are not directly attached to the program. For 31example, if integrated product is a virtual printer driver integrated product 32means the complete operating system; if integrated product is a word processor 33integrated product means the full word processor plus auxiliary components; if 34integrated product is a Web application integrated product means all 35components for retrieving, processing, and presenting data. (This is not an 36exhaustive enumeration.) 37 38By using, modifying or distributing the program (or any work based on the program), 39you indicate your acceptance of this license to do so, and all its terms and 40conditions for using, copying, distributing or modifying the program or works based 41on it. Nothing other than this license grants you permission to use, modify or 42distribute the program or its derivative works. These actions are prohibited by 43law. However, exempt users listed below are granted a world-wide, roy 51alty-free, nonexclusive license to use the program. 522.1 Open Source Developer Exemption 53Use of the program as part of an integrated product is exempt from commercial li 54censing provided the 55integrated product is available under a license which has been approved by the O 56pen Source Initiative 57OSI (www.opensource.org), complete source code for the integrated product is ava 58ilable to anyone 59free of charge, and the availability of source code is announced on a publicly a 60ccessible Web site. 61Source code means the preferred machine-readable form in which a programmer woul 62d modify the 63software. 642.2 Private non-Profit User Exemption 65Non-profit uses of the program by a private individual are exempt from commercia 66l licensing. Forprofit use by individuals and non-profit use by organizations do 67 not fall under this exemption. 682.3 Educational and Research Exemption 69Use of the program by educational institutions and individuals for educational a 70nd research purposes 71is exempt from commercial licensing. Other uses (e.g., administrative) by educat 72ional institutions do 73not fall under this exemption. 74 75Redistribution 76 77Redistribution in binary or source form by a commercial organization to any thir 78d party are permitted 79provided that all of the following conditions are met. Redistributing the progra 80m under these conditions does not necessarily give the recipient the right to us 81e the program; using the program is always 82subject to the conditions in section 2. 833.1 84Modifications 85If you have modified the program, you must include prominent notices in stating 86that you have modified the program's files, your name, your e-mail address (if an 87y) and the date and purpose of any 88change. 89PDF files generated with the program must include the same Producer entry in the 90 document info 91field as those generated with the original (unmodified) program.
