1Xpdf: Japanese support package 2============================== 3 4Xpdf project: http://www.foolabs.com/xpdf/ 52017-jul-25 6 7If this package includes CMap files, they contain their own copyright 8notices and distribution conditions. All other files in the package 9are Copyright 2002-2004 Glyph & Cog, LLC, and are licensed under the 10GNU General Public License (GPL), version 2 or 3. 11 12This package provides support files needed to use the Xpdf tools with 13Japanese PDF files. 14 15Contents: 16- Adobe-Japan1 character collection support 17- ISO-2022-JP encoding 18- EUC-JP encoding 19- Shift-JIS encoding 20 21Place all of these files in a directory, typically: 22 23 Unix - /usr/local/share/xpdf/japanese 24 Win32 - C:\Program Files\xpdf\japanese 25 26Add the contents of the "add-to-xpdfrc" file to your system-wide 27xpdfrc config file, which is typically: 28 29 Unix - /usr/local/etc/xpdfrc 30 Win32 - C:\Program Files\xpdf\xpdfrc 31 32Alternatively, on Unix systems you can add these lines to your 33personal xpdfrc file in $HOME/.xpdfrc. 34 35Make sure to edit the added lines to use the actual directory where 36the files were installed. 37 38To display PDF files that refer to non-embedded Japanese fonts, you 39will need to install a Japanese font.
