README
1 2 3 http://checkpasswd-pam.sourceforge.net/ 4 5 6checkpassword-pam is an implementation of checkpassword-compatible 7authentication program. 8 9Checkpassword is described in <URL:http://cr.yp.to/checkpwd.html> 10 11 12checkpassword-pam was written from scratch. There are several older 13packages called checkpassword-pam, derived from DJB's checkpassword 14code. This checkpassword-pam is more modern and 15administrator-friendly. 16 17 18If you are using Linux-PAM, make sure it is more recent than 0.59. 19Incompatibilities are in the PAM conversation function (number of 20requests vs number of responses). All modern Linux distribution use 21PAM newer than that. 22
